Big Designs for your Big Day.

about me.

Hi! I’m Rebecca Laugeman, owner and founder of Big Designs

I have been working in the hospitality industry since 2016 and have really loved all aspects of weddings. In particular, I love personalizing each wedding. A personal connection is so important to have with your wedding vendors which is why I always ask the couple “What are the most important things for you on your big day?”. If I can make sure those important details are executed, then I feel I have done my job. I pride myself in being ultra organized and detail oriented, which will allow you to enjoy your big day. I love seeing other people happy and that reaffirms my passion for this career.

I started in the wedding business as a wedding coordinator assistant and banquet manager for a catering company in Detroit, Michigan. My 2 years working weddings from the caterer’s perspective has given me the knowledge of all the details that go into executing the “main course” of your reception. After moving back home to St. Louis in 2018, I became the private events coordinator for the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. Working at The History Museum gives me the opportunity to work with so many amazing vendors in the St. Louis area. I have a wealth of knowledge on the best vendors in the city and am always excited to work with new vendors. Both jobs have taught me about the small details that make a big impact on your day. With those details, I can build the best and most comprehensive timeline to ensure your big day runs smoothly.

My favorite moment in a wedding:

I love the bride and groom announcement into the reception. I get to spend a couple seconds with them before the party begins. I love sharing in their happiness in that moment.

Some fun get to know me facts:

I’m a huge Blues fan. My son was born the day the Blues won the Stanley Cup in 2019. No his name is not Stanley or Vladimir.

I would choose the mountains over the beach for any vacation.

Winter is my favorite season. I even got married in January and it snowed on my wedding day!

make it Big.

make it Yours.
